Port city Brewing Company is a new holiday Ale

I recently had the chance to chat with the port town of owner Bill Butcher and head brewer Jonathan Reeves about their latest offering beer – the aptly named Ale news.

Instead of making a holiday dark and spicy ale, the two chose to keep spices and created Belgium, blonde in the same style as the most popular beer, their intelligence is Optimal.

Cardamom green hint feature news, coriander, ginger, and grains of paradise. Ale is made with ingredients sourced locally, including smooth red winter wheat comes from the neck of the Northern Virginia and honey wild flowers from Maryland, both of whom Reeves personal hunted.

Butcher and Reeves agree that brew locally sourced their first was a success and look forward to using this and other local materials in the future of beer. In the coming months, Reeves will experiment with wheat Virginian in Bier their intelligence to see if it proves as delicious as the original recipe.

Reeves acknowledged that seasonal ale is affected by the love of India, especially dessert foods gulab jamun-deep fried balls of doughnut in syrup – often sweet warm are eaten during Diwali, India's Festival of Lights. He thinks the word is similar to the beer dessert in many ways.

Chefs cook up a change in the Knox school lunch

Definitely would love to hear from

It was long overdue. As LocoPhan I want to see exactly what improvements have been made and includes some comments from people who have tasted change. The ingredients, nutritional info in there vs plates increased it would be nice to include in the article.

Hmmm, sounds like a pile of propaganda. The food served at the Knox County schools is terrible. .. that would be a bland, tasteless, low quality (worse than generic), bad, yucky-choose your words. Try Thanksgiving dinner at school with your child-You have to force it down.

Price is right up there with the quality of teacher education dishing out …. not acceptable!

Decent profile, as far as that goes, but there is no information on how it has changed, what's on the plate or the new methods used by the kitchen staff.

Something is brewing

Last month we talked about fresh Hop Ale festival in downtown Yakima. There are some great beers to try along with wine, food and entertainment.

This month we'll be talking about a man with a love for beer and beer are already well on his way to a great career that does what he likes. Name Chad Roberts and, aged 29 years, he's been head brewer at Snipes mountain Brewery in Sunnyside. Going back a few years, Chad gets started as home-brewer in 2004 by listening to podcasts and read books on brewing.

Then Jeff Clemmons and his wife, Jill, start a business called Shoppe beer in 2006. As Chad earned the award for beer, he began work there in 2008 and are still working on it part time. Beer Shoppe specializes in making available brewed craft beers from around the United States. Also, they have a wide selection of imported beers, some of the most popular of Belgium, Germany, and the United Kingdom. For the past eight months, they have served a beer at the site. They also fill growlers for customers to take home. Shoppe beer in 1105 s. 24th Ave. but will be moved to a new location after only one year. You can get more information on his website, www.thebeershoppe.net.

While working in the Shoppe, Chad Beer brewer by the name met Chris Miller. He was picked up some beer for a party at my place of work, old Hopunion LLC. I am still working then and feel good to see Chad. That word came out that I am wearing a "Hop-and-drink" school, and Chad went to school that in August 2010. Right after school ends, Chris was offered a job as an Assistant brewer Chad Snipes mountain Brewery and restaurant, which was started in 1997 by Mary Ann and her husband, gene Bliesner, along with their children. It is located at 905 Yakima Valley Highway and has a website, www.snipesmountain.com, with a lot of good information. Snipes is a full service restaurant and Brewery. Over the years, the beer that has won four medals in the coveted American beer festival in Denver.

Chad began in Snipes washing kegs and cleaning. The end of 2010, Chris let Chad know he is going to leave and started giving him vast brewing training. Chad soon made the first beer, which in theory is supposed to be like the Beer Brewing Grant now makes no called Grant in powder. Well, it turns out that beer does not exactly all that similar to grant's in powder, but it's good to keep it going. This is the point where Chad started to become brewer's right. March 2011, Chris gives his notice and recommended Chad for the job. He became head brewer in April and has not looked back.
