JENKINS TWP.-a new chapter in the history of the brewery began Tuesday to Charles Stegmaier descendants and business partner Mark Nobile.
Five great brewing vessels arriving by boat from Germany and delivered Tuesday on a flatbed truck to BREW Brewing Co., which will open in a few months.
Ed Maier, great-grandson of Charles Stegmaier, his son Fred and Nobile switch closed United beverages in 635 s. Main St. in Jenkins Township to the brewery Germany-style that will produce the craft beer with a label of BREW Brewing Co. Project will cost $ 8 million to $ 10 million and will initially employ around 15 people.

Every barrel is holding 31 gallons of beer, said Fred Maier, 33, of the sixth generation of the family that will make the beer. Stainless steel fermenters that looks like a rocket ship will arrive in a few weeks, he said. The new Brewery will have a brand of beer year-round and seasonal beer, he said.
